Sun has it right (10:00am est wed feb 02 2005) this is the way to do “open source”. One large overseer maintains the product, keeps it running properly, while anyone and everyone is free to change it, and perhaps submit changes to sun, who we trust will properly review the submitted code and ensure that the os is still secure.
